The Front Sweep is a technique done in many martial arts styles, but there a several variations.
For the Wu Shu front sweep, your goal should be not to place your hands on the floor for support.
First squat into a comfortable position (most people start from a Horse - Ma Bu stance). Turn the left foot outward all the way to your left (pivoting on the heel first), after you can't turn the foot anymore, come down on the toes and lift up your heel so you can spin on the ball of your foot. Your left hand shoud be swinging horizontally to the left also, guiding you and helping you keep balance.
Kick the right leg around letting your foot scrape the floor gently. You should now look like you're spinning in a left leg empty stance except you're on the toes of the left foot. Once your right foot lines up with your left foot in the middle of the spin, cross both wrists together for better balance.
Tip: The lower you sit the easier the sweep is! You should fully squat on the left leg but don't let your butt rest on your left heel. Start off with a single front sweep and slowly work your way to a double.
